Ferrara: «Determination makes the difference»

Juventus has lost Momo Sissoko for 25 days and the news is far from good. Ciro Ferrara, however does not give up because he knows he has an ample and a high quality squad available: «It is that sort of time. Clearly I am sorry but we are convinced we can do well, notwithstanding the absentees.
Changing tactics? I think I have players that allow me to use whatever solution I think best and I don’t think that Momo’s absence will condition me. Tiago? He has characteristics which adapt batter to a three-strong midfield but he can still be useful in case of emergency».

More than tactics, it is the approach that counts and Ferrara has asked his players to enter the field against Napoli with the same conviction shown against Samp: «The formation and the tactical approach are of secondary importance compared to the will and the agonistic determination that the players managed to field against Sampdoria.

It is the attitude that made the difference and it is in this that we must be consistent».

The match against Napoli will be fundamental for consistency.

It is an appointment which for Ciro Ferrara and also for Fabio Cannavaro will have a particular taste due to their past.

After many matches as a former player on the field, this will be the first for Ferrara on the bench: «As a player it was a problem to play such a match due to my bond with the city and the team. Tomorrow, however, the three points count and I hope to beat them in Naples. We know we will be facing a team which is getting back on its feet after the change of coach and that in the forward line it can count on unpredictable players».

The bianconeri will be the first to enter the field and will start another duel with Inter, after the five goals each scored by the two teams in the mid-week round. More than of the nerazzurri however, Ferrara however is think of something else: «The direct encounter is on the 5th of December and we have enough time to prepare for it. Now we have closer objectives like the match against Maccabi which will be fundamental for us. Before however there is Napoli and at the moment this is what we’re thinking of.

I think the championship is not a race between two teams. Milan is there too».

Buffon : "An atomic Juve"

Juventus needed a spark to return to expressing itself at top levels.

This, in short, was the thought expressed by Gigi Buffon before the match against Sampdoria in an attempt to stimulate the squad. The message was received judging from the answer given by the team:

«It was more like a nuclear explosion rather than a spark – smiled Gigi on Sky Sport 24 – Nobody expected such a performance, but on the other hand the qualities of the players were those seen yesterday and we were hoping we would manage to show them. In big matches, like Roma and Lazio and now Sampdoria we always manage to do this.

The fact is that there aren’t many matches of this level in the championship and in the others we must not lose points with which we can fight for important objectives».

Against the blucerchiati the bianconeri fielded a fierce determination: «Yes, the attitude was aggressive as from the initial stages because there was a strong will to put a dull month behind us and so everyone’s attention was optimal».

Apart from the goal by Pazzini, Sampdoria hardly ever approached Buffon.

This is thanks to an excellent defensive performance and also to the Felipe Melo-Sissoko tandem: «I feel really lucky to play with defenders like ours. Cannavaro with his experience, Chiellini is going through a great state of form and Legrottaglie who when he plays gives a sense of security simplify my work. In the same way their job is simplified by Momo and Felipe. If there is always reciprocated help like yesterday no match is impossible to win».

He was not so busy against Samp but was very decisive on other occasions. Gigi is going through a golden period: «There are always periods in which you feel unbeatable and other in which you are less so. This is certainly one of the best moments in my career, also thanks to the stimuli I derived from criticism, sometimes unjustified, which I received last year».

A goalkeeper like Gigi is an example to his colleagues and to youngsters he is a living legend just like Sirigu of Palermo said recently: «It is a bit early to be considered a living legend by a goalkeeper who is still playing in my same championship. I don’t feel that talented.

It is however nice. Sirigu is young and grew up when I went through my golden years and therefore this is understandable. If I augur him to stop Inter? Sure, to confirm himself with Palermo, to do a favour to himself, to his team and also to us…».

Ferrara and Amauri post match:

Ferrara: «Today the players played like great champions»

It is hard to fight back the great joy after a 5-1 victory and it is obviously of great satisfaction for a coach to win in such a manner:

«We are very happy. It was a perfect evening due to the result, the match played and the way we handled the match. This is the spirit of Juventus. Clearly, if we see tonight’s match this would seem like the best tactical approach but in an entire championship sometimes you have to change.Today the players played like great champions. They were perfect and I can only thank them and say a big well done. This would be the perfect Juve but I am aware of the fact that it is not easy to maintain this rythm. It is however, the starting point of our team».

Asked who according to him is the man of the match, the Juventus coached said: «It is hard to pick out a single player because today played as a team and in such cases you create more and suffer less. Even the players who came on did really well».

From now on: « This should be the charge that launches us. It is true we came from a series of negative results and this conditioned us but we showed that we can come back and now we have to maintain this».

Amauri: «It was a great performance by the whole team»

A few weeks ago he was being criticized because he was failing to score and now Amauri has scored 4 goals in 3 matches: «I am really happy that I am managing to score and that Juve today played a match up to its standards like we hadn’t played for some time. We must continue like this».

The Brazilian striker however does not try to take all the merit: «It was a great performance by the whole team. This could be seen right from kick-off. We were criticized by people who said that Juve was winning but not convincing. Tonight I think we made our point. Now we must continue in this manner. We must be clever to manage this enthusiam well. Today we knew that we had soemthing to fight for against a Samp that were doing really well».

Asked whether a 4-2-3-1 approach is the best formation for this Juve, Amauri answered: «Today we played using this tactical approach and we did well but I think that even the other formation is good. We must be capable of playing with any formation. When we are two strikers we must be capable of playing like this too».

Giovinco and Cannavaro interviews:

Giovinco: «It was important to win and we did so in a spectacular manner»

It is hard to decide who was the man of the match in an excellent performance like the one tonight, but surely enough Sebastian Giovinco had an excellent performance, creating a lot and having a good share of the result.

« I am very happy. It was important to win and we did so in a spectacular manner. Today it was a near perfect match. We conceded a goal but the performance was a good one and the result speaks clearly. Today we interpreted the match excellently. Tonight we enjoyed ourselves and this is something I did not experience last year».

Cannavaro: «The most important thing is the spirit and the will»

Fabio Cannavaro knows what it means to be part of a great and winning team and tonight he cannot hold back his joy even though he is angry about the goal conceded: « Surely tonight the team showed it is strong, winning many balls, playing well and scoring. This is the way Juve should play with determination and a winning attitude. I am a bit angry about the goal conceded.

Chiellini? Giorgio is young, has the right physique which permits him to advance and until he keeps on scoring we will allow him to advance. The most imporatnt thing is the spirit and the will. There were matches in which this was missing and this must not happen. You all know that our first defenders are the attackers and when these manage tos top the opponent everything turns out easier».

Serie A : Juventus - Sampdoria 5-1

Give me 5!!! Show of class by Juve!

Ferrara fielded a 4-2-3-1 formation identical to the one against Maccabi and Juve responded brilliantly. The bianconeri immediately had a great start immediately showing great determination and an offensive mentality.

On the 1st minute there is immediately a free-kick for Juve: Diego puts the ball into area but it is a bit too long for Chiellini. Two minutes later a good ball into the area by Giovinco reaches Camoranesi who is stopped for a foul in attack.

The 7th minute sees a corner for Juve: Diego's cross reaches Melo who crosses into the center put there is nobody close enough to tap in. Three minutes later, there is a great Camoranesi cross into the area with Amauri missing the overhead kick by a millimetre.

On the eleventh minute there is a great confusion in the Samp area with Giovinco doing a great job but the ball exits for a corner: from the flag Diego puts in a perfect ball which is headed greatly by Chiellini who is denied a near goal by Castellazzi.

On the 13th minute Buffon saves into corner on a dangerous close encounter with Ziegler. Three minutes later, Diego's ball for Amauri is too long and Castellazzi has no difficulty in saving.

The 18th minute sees great play by Diego as he takes Giovinco by surprise. Four minutes later, a great cross by Camoranesi into the area but Amauri is stopped for off-side.

On the 26th minute, there is great play by Diego with a cross towards Giovinco who is anticipated into corner: from the flag the ball reaches Amauri who shoots home for the opener: 1-0!

Juve are getting what they deserve as they dominate occupying the opponents’ three quarters most of the time. On the 29th minute a great Giovinco shot from outside the area is saved by Castellazzi.

The 45th minute sees a good cross into the area by Camoranesi but Castellazi anticipates. Seconds later a very powerful Stankevicious shot from far out goes wide.

After one minute of stoppage time the two teams enter the dressing rooms but Juve has definitely been the much better of the two teams.

The second half sees Juve continue where they left off in the first. On the 2nd minute, there is a free-kick for Juve: it is taken excellently by Diego and Lucchini forces Castellazzi to a brilliant save. One minute later, good ball into the area by Camoranesi and Amauri is stopped for a foul in attack.

On the 5th minute, a great run by Melo and great work by Giovinco who enters the area, passes to Camoranesi in the middle with the Italo-Argentinian hammering in for the 3-0. Juve is simply outstanding and devastating today.

On the 9th minute there is a free-kick for Samp: Chiellini heads away twice and Amauri frees the area with an overhead kick. Seconds later, great play by Giovinco who enters the area after a great run and his shot hits the external part of the net.

Two minutes later, Pazzini surprises the defence and heads home for the 4-1 goal. This is the only real attempt on Buffon’s goal in the whole match. Trezeguet and De Ceglie come on for Amauri and Melo on the 20th minute.

On the 23rd minute a Diego shot after receiving from De Ceglie is blocked by the defence. Three minutes later, Giovinco puts in a great cross and Trezeguet does not manage to shoot well from a great position. Two minutes later, there is a great exchange by Juve as Trezeguet and De Ceglie are caught off-side.

The 29th minute sees a great Giovinco cross is headed by Trezeguet who sees the flag go up for a dubious off-side. Four minutes later, Diego wins a great ball, enters the area but the ball is stolen in the final moment.

On the 39th minute, there is a free-kick for Juve: ball enters the area but Trezeguet is off-side. Three minutes later, there is a great ball into the area by Grosso and Trezeguet heads home for goal number 5.

The match ends right on the 90th minute. The summary is easy: Juve dominate and hammer Sampdoria winning the second place. In other words: a five star performance by Juve!

Blanc: "The new stadium will be our visiting card"

Blanc at the shareholders’ meeting

After the speeches by the shareholders during the meeting which is going on in Vinovo, Jean-Claude Blanc spoke of the new stadium underling the strategic importance which it will have in the future of a club which nonetheless puts as its priority the victories on the field: «This is our mission – confirmed Blanc – and it is around these victories that we will develop our business activities.

The subject of the stadium must be seen in the context of a European and worldwide economic crisis which must be overcome. We will make a visiting card out of the new stadium, like our European competitors such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester United have done: it is with them that we must compare ourselves even when it comes to the profit from the new stadium».

Blanc continued to treat this subject, underlining that «this objective, that the board of directors established three years ago, was carried out without taking resources out of the sporting part, thanks to the agreement with Sportfive and the agreement with Credito Sportivo. Within 600 days – concluded Blanc – Juventus will have one of the most innovative stadium in Europe with the supporters physically close to the field and a commercial area integrated within 35000 square meters».

Trezeguet: «We are very happy» Diego: «We brought back the three points»

After the match against Maccabi, David Trezeguet had insisted that Juventus had to work hard.

Today, he thinks there has been an important improvement: «We are very happy because besides the result we brought back our characteristics, that is, those of running and creating opportunities.
We are getting back to our level.

We still have room for improvement but slowly Juve is coming back and this is what is most important.

I am happy for Amauri who scored but most of all we will all be going back to Turin happily because we are getting back our real potential. We are also working to improve on a goal scoring level but what is important is that we are playing well even when it comes to defending. The group is very determined».

Juventus’ next match is that against second placed Sampdoria on Wednesday: «It is difficult to win these matches because Siena for instance are a very defensive team and we were very determined both psychologically and physically. As from tomorrow we will start thinking of Sampdoria».

Diego did not score but his was the cross from the set-piece which led to Amauri’s goal and Juventus’ victory. «It was important to win. We brought back the three points and that is why we are happy. Siena defends very compactly and therefore it is difficult to penetrate this defence. I am happy because my pass was turned into a goal by Amauri. I am very happy even if I didn’t score myself but in modern football even the decisive pass is important and I am happy with this.»

Certain critics said he had lost his initial glitter: «I feel in form as I was in the beginning of the season. It is true we had a certain fall back and being part of the team I suffered too».

The next match is a tough one: «Sampdoria is a strong team. We have our objective which is winning and will do everything to do so».

Work morning session in Vinovo.

After the warming-down session yesterday, to recover after Wednesday's match with Maccabi, the team has returned to work in a tight group.
In another work session in the morning at Vinovo continued preparing for the trip on Sunday afternoon in Siena.

For the match with the Tuscans, Ciro Ferrara should be able to count on Felipe Melo.

The Brazilian, released prematurely from the match with the Israelis in a blow to his left ankle, has regularly trained.

Trezeguet has played a custom program in the gym. Del Piero and Tiago worked intensely following the respective scales of recovery.

Zebina as planned, yesterday afternoon was surveyed and have excluded the presence of lesions of the flexor muscles of the left thigh.
After a few days of rest and physiotherapy will be reassessed their conditions.

Ahead of Sunday's match, there is only one day of work.
Tomorrow is a scheduled afternoon session , after which it is planned departure for Tuscany.
Ciro Ferrara will hold its press conference before the session, at 13.30. Live on Juventus Channel.

Injures: Zebinà out, Melo probably will play Sunday

It looked worse last night, the blow to his left ankle, Felipe Melo, left the field furious:

Yesterday Juventus has not yet delivered the prognosis for the 'blunt trauma' of the Brazilian, but the impression is that the midfield can play for Sunday afternoon, when Bianconeri go down to Siena.

Could use in Ferrara, as Sissoko and squeezed out enough in the second game after seven months out.

And since Marchisio is still struggling with the recovery program (along with Del Piero) and Tiago is training differently, the midfield remains a rarity.

Looms instead the stop for Jonathan Zebina, left the field due to the flexor contracture of the left thigh.

Chiellini " We must give a signal"

After the success in Europe, serves to give a signal to competitors for the title.

The goal that decided the challenge of the Champions League with Maccabi is "a nice personal satisfaction" to Giorgio Chiellini, but is much more important that Juventus is back to winning ways.

"The three points of yesterday give us more conviction and confidence even in the championship," said Giorgio.

Tibia swollen and some discomfort in the ankle are the aftermath of the 'battle of wednesday, but will not prevent the juventus-defender against Siena to face the first of three Serie A league commitments in a week. "We hope to make three match good and then beat Maccabi away - Chiellini looks forward, to the presentation of a video game, if we want to give a strong signal to the championship, after a series of negative results,we must to win the next three matches:
In a week we have the opportunity to make a change to our season. "

Trezeguet: «We will continue working»

Juventus got back to victory against Maccabi Haifa.
The win was important to climb up the table of Group A but it did not satisfy the bianconeri totally.
David Trezeguet, the protagonist of Filo Diretto on Juventus Channel showed he is happy with the result but insisted on the necessity to continue working hard:

«It was a difficult match. We are happy with the three points but we will have to work harder both on a defensive and an attacking level, in order to find the right equilibrium.

Our best man on the field was once again Gigi and if one hand it is a positive thing to have the best goalkeeper in the world, on the other hand it is evident that there is great room for improvement. We are trying different schemes to find a solution to which the players can adapt better».

Agianst Maccabi, Ferrara fielded a new 4-2-3-1 formation: «This team played with two strikers for many years and the coach wanted to change tactics to help the midfielders. The system of play can be changed but the important thing is to re-establish the equilibrium.

We started the season with a formation and after some time we started to suffer. Yesterday we changed and again we suffered, therefore we need to be more determined. I, however, have faith in this team».

The victory against Maccabi re-launched the bianconeri’s ambitions in the Champions league and it is an important injection of faith when it comes to the championship:

«Yesterday’s victory was hard to obtain but we needed it. Everything is still open in the Champions League. We know that the return match against Maccabi will be very important and then we will have to manage well the two matches against Bordeaux and Bayern.

At this moment, however, we are concentrated on ourselves: we must re-establish our game and on Sunday there is an important test to try and cut down on the margin from Inter which at the moment is the strongest team in the championship.
In the Champions League, I think Chelsea is the team that is doing best, but we at this point must only look at ourselves and try to improve».

Against Maccabi, David marked his 300th appearance as a bianconero: «I reached an important milestone in my career. 300 matches with Juventus is not something that anyone can achieve. On a personal level I hope to continue contributing. I need three goals to reach Sivori in the Juventus top-scorers of all time and then I would like to end the season with a positive result, that is by winning the championship or the Champions League».

With regards to his future at the end of the season, David seems to be undecided: «I am outspoken and I say what I feel.
Surely, last year I went through a delicate moment. I spoke clearly but I also saw the attitude towards me by my team mates, the club and the coach and this is important for me. If I were to leave Juve at the end of the season it will surely not be for a choice to do with the sport side: I have been here for 10 years and far from my family.
My children are growing and at times I really miss them. It would be a choice of life but I have surely been youched by the attitude of my mates after the goal against Lazio. It was really important for me on a human level. Here I have a great friendship with all and this is what makes me happy».

Champions League: Juventus - Maccabi 1-0 Interviews and players rating

BUFFON:
We wanted the points and we got them, speaking as you would but we played good football and had various goal scoring chances. In the Champions League it is normal to concede a few opportunities but not on the 93rd minute with the opponents down to 10 men!

CHIELLINI:
I'm happy with my first goal in Champios League!

TREZEGUET:
Winning was the main thing for us, but we must work harder.

FERRARA:
This team played using a 4-4-2 formation for many years and therefore it is natural that we need time to adapt to these new tactics. Tonight I opted for one striker and three good players when it comes to attacking and it turned out well.
Today I liked the way the lads played in the way they interpreted the match even though I would have liked to bring it to a close earlier, considering the fact that we played with one man more.
Diego? He played an excellent match. He played well between the lines, looked out for his mates and ran a lot.

PLAYERS RATING:

BUFFON 8:
Decisive in at least two occasions. Simply the best goalkeeper in the world.

ZEBINA: 5.5
Start pushing on the right wide, less accurate then other times, as usual, the trouble muscles.

CACERES 5
(from 35')
Too much innacurate, some throwing wrong of 10 meters, on his side almost Macccabi reach the draw at the end.

CANNAVARO 6 +

Start stretch, see the opportunity granted to Dvalishvili in the early minutes, it redeems in the second half.

CHIELLINI 7
First goal in the Champions League, always careful in defense.

GROSSO 6.5
Pushes a lot about the band, good cross, should be more careful in defense.

MELO 6
More carefull than other times, always,I expects from him to do more to turn the team goes. Out through injury at 60'.

POULSEN 6 (dal62 ')
Improves as much as possible, careful in its balance test with some good success launch. Even with him, the team seems more balanced.

SISSOKO 7
Fights, try to fit in, also seeks the goal for all 90 minutes although the second game after seven months out. Bravo Momo.

CAMORANESI 6.5
Wrong too many cross and supports, not by him,, though not lacking the desire and the class is infinite.

DIEGO 6.5
Vote for the commitment, him potential would be great but do not pass the ball and is not effective near the net, and sometimes he may passes to Giovinco unmarked!

GIOVINCO 7
With his invasions forces at yellow card Maccabi's half team, always purposeful, as usual, fails to be effective in net area.

TREZEGUET 6
Near the goal on two occasions, the rest is either absent or unreachable for his teammates, though steadily improving since last year.

AMAURI SV (by 81 ')

FERRARA 6.5
System of play that I should try again, can give us satisfaction with Iaquinta contenton a wide. We must work on defense fases.

Ferrara change system ofa play
, with three player Camoranesi , Giovinco , Diego behind only one striker ( Trezeguet ).
An experiment that absolutely must try again.

After few minutes Trezeguet alone in face the goalkeeper is stopped by Maccabi's player, for Referee is OK.

Israeli goalkeeper is very good even a few minutes later, deflecting a corner when a beautiful shot from outside Giovinco.

Eight minutes after Maccabi remains in 10 for the expulsion of Dutra, author of an very hard intervention in midfield on Chiellini.

Tonight I would like to see a piece of old spirit Juve!

This is not nostalgia (although there is and will be forever ...) but of necessity.

I would like to review the spirit by helping team-mate at the expense of personal performance, I would like to see, for one evening, few smiles and competitive players, men with high concentration.

This is not to have not fair-play, indeed, fair-play is not shown by the smiles, the hugs the opponent, it shows not simulated, not making bad fouls, respected your opponent.

I wish that tonight there was a reminiscence of the grit of Beppe Furino (photo), spirit of sacrifice of Massimo Bonini, the class with a concentration and determination infinite, of Gaetano Scirea .... I could go on indefinitely.

I am not speaking of technical skill, which many current players have full, I talk about of Juventus spirit, where the team comes first and then the individual.

One of the main tasks of Ferrara is exactly that, to understand what this shirt means to the many new players.

Besides, no one better than Ferrara is suitable for this task.

Come on boys, tonight we begin a new series of victories!

Levi: «Our football is an attacking one»

Anyone who expected a Maccabi Haifa who travelled to Torino with the intention of limiting the damages would have had to change his idea, at least after listening to coach Elisha Levi who addressed the press conference together with goalkeeper Nir Davidovitch (photo) and team veteran Alon Harazi.

The Maccabi coach knows of the difficulties his team will probably be facing but he is ready to try his chances.

«We are doing very well in our championship. In the Champions League we are still with no points but I don’t think we deserve this. We are worth more and tomorrow we want to show this against a great team like Juventus».

The Israeli team arrived in Torino without a number of important players such as the suspended Kayal and injured Golasa but most of all without the influenza hit Katan, the player considered to be the champion of the group.

These absences Levi intends to overcome with other weapons: «Those who will play instead of them will make themselves worth it. Our team plays attacking football and this is what helped us qualify to the Champions League.

We like to attack, independently of whether we have two or three strikers. Juventus will have to win to go ahead but this applies also to us. For this reason we will play to win while trying to remain concentrated throughout the match».

Maccabi will be facing a Juventus in search of a victory and the Israeli side knows this. Goalkeeper Davidovitch who tomorrow will be captain tomorrow in the absence of Katan, is ready for the match and for a particular encounter:

«We know that recently they did not win one or two matches in the championship, but I don’t think Juve are that bad. Matches like this are exciting and for this reason we want to give our best and make life hard for the bianconeri. Buffon? He is absolutely the best goalkeeper in the world. It will be a pleasure to be on the same field as him».

For Darazi, the Del Piero of Maccabi, seeing his long relationship with the Israeli team, a a match against Juventus is a pearl in a long career:

«We will be playing against a great team which will have the public behind him but we will not start off as the defeated side and we know we can win. Since we do not always make it to the Champions League we have less experience and for this reason we will have to try to be concentrated from the very start».

Diego: I made the right choice.

Torino, October 20 - "Del Piero is a source of inspiration for me.
I am honored to be able to interact with a player of his class. " Be a team player as Alex Del Piero is a true inspiration.
Was revealed by the neo-Juventus Diego, in an interview with the portal Spox.com.

CONFIDENCE IN FERRARA - After the praise to his captain, thumbs up for the coach Ciro Ferrara: "He is at the first experience, it is true. But it has great potential.
Knows exactly what is needed to get the most out of a player.
He took care of me, and I immediately gave the feeling of being part of the team. This is important for a player, especially if you're new. I admire him and I can still learn a lot from him. "

BRASILJUVE - Even the presence of Melo and Brazilian Amauri has facilitated the environment Diego. "Yes, it was important to explain the midfielder-because-we share the culture and language.
But slowly I am learning to know the rest of the team, and also off the field is getting better. " In short, outside of the moment brilliant Juve, Diego feel good in Torino:
"I like the climate, and the Italian humor. The people here are so friendly and open. The language is not so difficult to learn than German, which makes communication easier for me.
Juventus are a great club, Torino is a beautiful city. I'm sure I made the right choice for me and for my career. " Even in field, things seem to be going well: "Apart from some physical problem, the technician leaves me plenty of space. I have not changed my style of play. I just have to learn more at the tactical level. "

BREMEN IN THE HEART - Diego do not forget, however, his years in Bremen, "Werder are a great team, where I had good friends and I spent happy times. There will always be my friends, this will never change. And the same goes for the fans who have always supported. But now I'm happy here in Torino, the fans are fantastic and I can play for the team that dreamed of playing since childhood. "

Ferrara Press Room

Ciro Ferrara said that "we have try something new about form but I will decide only tomorrow if we change "rombo".

"Maccabi is a team very organized, well form in the field", and repeats that "tomorrow the only result is winner".

Ferrara also said that "is naturally have some difficulties after taht the team have so many player change from last year".

Buffon, near Ferrara at press room, said that " I'm confident, I see the right spirit, we can exit from this situatiion".

GIOVINCO WILL BE STARTER VS MACCABI?

For Juventus is time of revolution, because must reverse the downward trend that saw the Bianconeri not win away from September 19 at home to Livorno, exactly one month short.

That's why Ferrara has thought of changing form, temporarily abandoning the "rombo" with built specifically for playmaker Diego.

We move to a more solid 4-2-3-1, and the outside of the left might just be the one who was to be the alter-Diego:

Sebastian Giovinco, who until now had never persuaded by playmaker but that could hurt starting wide, from left, and using his speed and his ability to return to dribble.

The "Formica Atomica 'seems therefore likely from the starters against Maccabi Haifa

Chiellini: «Maccabi is like Real»

A year after, it’s once again a 19th of October with Champions League in their minds, waiting for an essential match for “bianconero” path.

If in 2008 everybody was waiting for Real Madrid to arrive to Torino, now Juventus is waiting for Maccabi Haifa, a less titrated team but against which Ferrara’s team wants to achieve a victory that would be fundamental.

First of all to gain three golden points for run-up to knockout round, but also for putting an end to a particular period, during which success is missing since five official matches.

A situation that, partly, recalls one year ago situation. At least in Giorgio Chiellini’s head, who confessed in exclusive for Juventus.com: «Also then we were in a particular period.

Championship was going worse than that because we already suffered two defeats and we were even more behind in standings. Moreover we were in emergency due to the many injuries. The victory vs. Real Madrid represented the turning point and immediately after that we centered a series of victories that re-launched us. It must be the same also this time».

From Real to Maccabi. Israeli won’t have the Spanish’s potential, but they are opponents to be faced with necessary concentration. Chiellini knows main pitfalls:

«Wednesday we’ll have to play with the same intensity we had one year ago vs. Real.
We must absolutely win this match and the following one in Tel Aviv, in order to arrive at our best to the last two matches of the round. We do not know much about Maccabi, I know forward Dvalishvili, because I faced him one month ago with the Italian National Team vs. Georgia. It’s about a team to respect also for what they did vs. Bayern Monaco and Bordeaux, when they were beaten only at the end».

Ferrara we need a change !!

This summer I dreamed a juve played like Brazil, Diego - Del Piero - Camoranesi - Melo play together, a Juve where reigned the fantasy, the show.

Things did not go well, the injuries have affected the start of the season (Del Piero, Diego), and some players have made less than expected (Melo), shortly the show is never seen but what is even worse results.

Juventus have a number of problems to be solved immediately, the most important are:

1) The two offending player do not integrate themself, do not pass the ball, do not have complementary movements;

2) Midfield player always are outnumbered in front of competitors,Diego not defending(we have not taken to this) Melo can't play in front of the defense must be more forward;

3) No one makes movements without the ball.

Ciro should find a solution even temporarily!

Which? Here are two possible solutions tactics:

1) The system of play remains the same (4-1-2-1-2) the so-called "rombo" with Poulsen (Marchisio when he returns) before the defense, Melo and Sissoko midfield, Diego behind the strikers to be Giovinco (Del Piero when he returns) and one other choice;

P.S. Secco in January we need a second strike;

2) Change of system of play, to 4-4-2 with a midfield like Camoranesi Sissoko-Melo-Poulsen (Marchisio) and Diego goes second striker, with one of Trezeguet, Amauri or Iaquinta.
Diego has already played second striker for Werder, we will be more defending team and perhaps even more dangerous.

Waiting for Del Piero ......

Serie A : Juventus - Fiorentina 1 - 1

A DRAW GOOD FOR NOTHING

At Olimpico final 1-1 between Juventus and Fiorentina at the end of a fighting match.
Juve played well only sometimes in 90 minutes, still looking for a spectacular game play.

Sissoko has a great impact in the midfield and this is almost the only happy note for Juventus.

At 5th min. Fiorentina immediately in goal.
Jovetic passes to Vargas who enters the area and beats Buffon; 0-1.

Juventus react well and the next 20 minutes will be the best of the match.
On the 13th Diego passes to Sissoko who enters the area but Dainelli at the crucial moment putting the ball out for a corner.

At 15th min. Sissoko passes to Iaquinta who shoots and Frey performing a miracle.

At 19th min. Poulsen through ball towards Iaquinta who passes (with a wrong shoot) to Amauri that scored; 1-1 .

Now the match will be without spectacular action, often fighting in the midfield.

In the second Half only a shoot (65th min.) by Vargas saved by Buffon and a shoot of Amauri after great exchange between Diego and Camoranesi.

The match end with a disapointing 1-1.
